Carly Smith was born in Thunder Bay, Ontario. Currently residing in London, Ontario, she recently welcomed a baby boy to the world with her husband, Scott. Carly is an elementary school teacher who taught in the French Immersion panel before beginning parental leave. In addition to reading, Carly’s other hobbies include baking, gardening, and playing board games. Carly is thrilled to join Cloud Lake Literary as a reviewer; she is passionate about historical fiction, memoirs, children’s literature, and thrillers. As someone who lives with mental illness and is of Indigenous descent, she looks forward to shedding light on these topics and working to eradicate the discrimination that surrounds mental health and race.
